PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island's new health insurance marketplace is working normally again after experiencing problems related to the federal data hub that verifies applicants' personal information.
Spokeswoman Dara Chadwick says HealthSource RI continued to have some problems through Wednesday afternoon with identity verification, tax credit eligibility and other functions needing a connection to the federal data hub. She said operations were back to normal Thursday.
Part of the Rhode Island website will be down for scheduled maintenance from 9:30 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
The federal data hub, a component of the healthcare.gov portal, experienced an outage Sunday, blamed on an outside contractor. The federal portal has been plagued by technical glitches.
Rhode Island's state-run exchange has been relatively problem-free.
HealthSource RI had signed up 3,762 individuals and small businesses for coverage from Oct. 1 through Oct. 26.
