WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — Passenger numbers at Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport improved in September from a year ago, the seventh month the airport has had a better performance when compared with last year.
Data released Thursday by the Rhode Island Airport Corp. show 315,248 passengers traveled through the airport in September. That's up more than 8 percent from last September, when 291,277 people used the airport.
February was the last month the number of passengers declined compared with a year ago.
Overall, 2.9 million people have traveled through Green this year, compared with 2.8 million last year, an increase of close to 4 percent.
People who make round trips are counted twice in the statistics.
