Woman Pulled from Burning Home in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ An East Providence woman has been hospitalized after being pulled from her burning home by a neighbor.
 
The fire broke out just after 1 a.m. Wedensday in a single-family home on Oak Crest Drive.
 
WPRI-TV reports the neighbor, who did not want his name used, helped the woman escape the fire through a window.
 
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
 
Fire officials say she was the only person in the house.  
 
It took firefighters just a half hour to bring the blaze under control, but the home was severely damaged.
 
The cause of the fire had not been immediately determined.
